Miss M arrived today -- I had a moment of panic at the airport. There was a huge mission group coming home from Peru and their welcoming team kept getting in front of me and I was worried that Miss M would not see my sign.
I kept fighting to get to the front
the missionaries and the other passengers came through
but not Miss M
I must have looked sad with my orange sign
'maybe she stopped in the bathroom?'
'or fell asleep on the plane'
Finally -- from the other direction -- I see someone come my way -- I hold up my Orange welcome sign hopefully
She nods
Hooray!
She looks like she's about to drop -- poor thing
We find her bags and make our way home through awful traffic
She admits she has not eaten since Los Angeles -- but wants to eat at home instead of on the road.
Los Angeles -- let's see -- that's at least 15 hours ago
She perked up at the idea of a ham sandwich when we got in and ate twice as much as I thought
But she's definitely NOT an American kid -- she broke a tiny piece of the chips and tasted it -- this was what was left of her lunch:
We're on a great adventure!
